Wednesday, July 16th was just an average day for Donovan Smith and his mom Casey. They dropped by the Supportive Housing Coalition to show off their pie soaps which they made as a fundraising initiative for the organization. That evening would soon change their lives. The media caught wind of their story and did a segment on Donovan’s amazing talent of soap making and his efforts to donate a percentage of their sales to the organization which once helped them when they were experiencing homelessness. Within one week, Donovan has been featured on the Huffington Post, The Black Youth Project, Cluth, Black Enterprise, WTKR News Channel 3 and NewsOne.
